Dream Awake

If I could go back
Would I?
To bathe in sun…
And sigh.

If I could go back
Maybe…
I’d stand right still…
And see.

If I could go back
Yes, now
I’d sip a froth
Ah……wow.

If I could go back
I could,
In disconnect,
Be good.

If I could go back
I’d sail,
And carry on
Not wail.

If I could go back
I’d wish
To be carefree
As fish.

If I could go back
I’d dream
To let go all
And beam.

If I could go back
I’d play,
In sea and sand
All day.

If I could go back
I’d break,
Inhale it deep
And flake.

If I could go back
I’d free
All worry stress
And……be.

If I could go back
Would I?
It can’t be done
I sigh.
