Commercial Break
The terror struck
And Fallon laughed
A nightmare of blood
But no one knew
People at prayer
And helium tricks
In God’s arms
Applause distraction
Grandmother guard
As Rickman joked
“Just play dead”
A funny bit
Survival in stillness
Artificial City
A Roof ripped open
Red and blue balloons
The guns damn guns
A chuckle more
Nothing sinks in

Wow. That is really a interesting juxtaposition! Hey – you’re stretching yourself, there, Paula! Keep up the great work! B.
Thanks. It was one of those moments where I found myself questioning how absurd the contrast really is. How fleeting tragic news can be as soon as humor, which in such circumstances acts as a welcome distraction, steps in. Sadly it can be as brief as a commercial break.
