Living Beside Light
Light it goes dancing and prancing in glee
It sails about free like a bee that I see.
Darkness it comes, it just numbs and I flea,
And off to my home, by the tree, I’ll agree,
I’m most safest there when I’m sipping my tea,
Sharing laughter in memories, to a degree.
But in the night, I feel fright when on knee,
I recall the pain, I am slain, and I plea,
Help me get through wretched blue with esprit,
And I will survive, not deprive what’s in me.

Beautiful. I have pinned it to my Pinterest poetry board so others can share enjoyment.
Thank you so much Lita. You’re the best. 😊
Interesting, Paula! 🙂
