Unless There are Eyes
Controlling it all
I snap the photo
The photo I make
It’s seen as I like
A word, a gesture
A jacket and bag
I see it through eyes
It’s how I like
Controlling what’s there
The clothes and the hair
The hair and the shoes
I entertain
The screen doubles up
A lens and a window
The crack covered glass
I laugh, its on film
The need to be there
My clothes and my hair
My butt and my eyes
Pretend to disguise
Not hide what is mine
No private, unseen
Not Live? I can’t thrive
Unless there are eyes.

Hahaha this is great! Love the pic. LOL!
What a perfect summing up of the celeb culture !!!
‘ can’t thrive
Unless there are eyes.’
You nailed it Paula !! Wishing you a great weekend and thank you for your clever, wise and insightful words.
Thank you so much Lita. Sad that there is such a pervasiveness of that crazy dependency in our culture where people need to expose everything about themselves. Glad you agree.
