Steadfast
On this
a day of fun disguises
where real life escapes
into make believe
make up,
a slaughter of spirit
crashes humanity back,
a stirring beneath
extended from a heartless
darkness
striking…breath
activator thief madman
terrorist
wiping out
what right he has not been given
pain rages
and yet
Dogs Are Walked
and makeup comes off
but though
candy will not taste
as sweet
tonight,
FIERCENESS thrives
fortified
and GRIT
made steadfast.
