Nothing’s Lost
There are endings
so sad and clear
Farewell moments,
true and sincere
Saying goodbye now,
marking a step
A turn in time,
the loss of pep
when mores to come,
but can’t be seen
It’s hard to tell,
it’s hard to glean
what lies ahead,
when comfort’s real
in front of you,
the rest’s surreal
But moving on,
a change in time
must manifest,
the bells will chime
Yet nothing’s lost,
when deep inside
Memories still and will abide.

Well said, Paula. My heart aches reading it – for all those transitions in life.
