I wish I was Rain

enveloping the whole world

bathing, splashing spray every which way

on, over, under, everything

My refreshing shower

nurturing the earth alive,

drenching the filth,

endlessly amused at dashers and dancers fleeing

the wet…

I’d quench the thirsty,

dazzle the giddy,

imparting puddle reflections,

and saving my wrath

for another day.
